Quantitative Reasoning

Quantitative Reasoning is a really overlooked part of the DAT. You have to be fully energized and focused on this section, even though Reading Comprehension will drain your energy. If you can't figure out how to approach a problem within 15 seconds, move on and come back. Finish the easier questions first and leave the harder questions until the end. Use your calculator but don't let it slow you down. You can also use the keyboard functions on the computer to type out numbers in the calculator. To begin with and get a feel for things, start off with these sample QR questions from DAT Destroyer. Like me, it may have been a while since you've done high school math. In college, I only took Calculus for one year, so I needed a refresher on the basic things like fractions and word problems.

Afterward, check your answers with the Answer Key.

After seeing what sections you are weak on, take a look at these Math Destroyer videos from Dr. Orgoman.
